Health Crisis Centre, Ministry of Health, reported flooding in Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province, on 29 August 2018, 1830 hrs local time. The flooding was caused due to overflow following heavy rainfall. A total of five villages were affected, i.e. Talang Alai, Talang kemang, Jamba Akar, Serian Bandun, and Maras Tengah villages. A total of 475 families were displaced, as their 475 houses submerged. Local disaster management agency (BPBD) was on the ground and provided assistance to the affected people.
