Bengkulu Update: Thursday, 08 October 2020 Pkl. 16.20 WIB Chronology: • Due to high intensity rain since Monday, 05 October 2020, Pkl. 15.00 WIB up to. 22.00 WIB • There was a follow-up flood on Thursday, 08 October 2020, Pkl. 04.00 WIB Location: Kec. Ulu Talo Ds. Cloudy water Kec. Talo Ds. Lubuk Gio Ds. Estuary Lake Ds. Flower Sri Ds. Transverse Nepal Kec. Seluma Ex. Latitude Ex. Nepal Kec. Ilir Talo Ds. Penago 1 Kec. Seluma south Ds. Sukarami Kec. Ulu Talo Ds. Cloudy water *Impact: Fatalities : • 82 families / 558 people affected • 225 people fled to relatives homes Material Disadvantages: • 60 housing units (RR) • 22 housing units (RB) • 1 unit of Educational Facility (RR) • 5 Public Facilities (RR) • 2 units of public facilities (RS) • 4 units of Public Facilities (RB) • TMA 30 - 60 cm Effort : • TRC BPBD Kab. Seluma is still coordinating with local village officials and related agencies for flood management • TRC BPBD Kab. Casualties: 38 families/494 persons evacuated at 2 evacuation points. Material losses: 118 housing units slightly damaged. 22 housing units heavily damaged. 1 unit of education facility slightly damaged. 5 units of public facilities slightly damaged. 3 units of public facilities heavily damaged. Chronology: Rain with high intensity caused a flood in Seluma District of Bengkulu Province on Monday, 5 October 2020, from 03.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Location: Seluma District Ulu Talo Sub-District Air Keruh Village Casualties: 525 persons affected. Material losses: 1 unit of suspension bridge connecting villages is cut off. Effort: Rapid Response Team (Tim Respon Cepat/TCR) of Seluma District Management Agency (BPBD) is coordinating with village apparatus and related officials in responding to the flood. Challenge: Phone network at the incident location is poor hampering the coordination effort. Latest situation: - Water in the settlement has not receded. - Water inundated 20-60 cm.
