Indonesia, Flood in North Panajam Paser Regency (East Kalimantan)

➢ Chronology: Rain with quite high intensity occurred on July 18 2024 at. 19.00 WITA to 19.30 WITA in the West Labangka Village area. Resulting in overflowing river water/drainage and impacting the rise in water levels in residential areas in low-lying areas

➢ Location:
● Babulu District
- Ds. West Labangka

➢ Casualties:
- 140 families / 509 people affected

➢ Material Losses:
- 131 houses affected

➢ Effort:
● North Penajam Paser BPBD coordinates with all related elements
● North Penajam Paser BPBD carries out assessments and monitors river water channels

➢ Current condition:
● The current condition in the affected area as a whole is that the TMA has started to gradually recede, some houses are dry but in some houses water is still entering the house and there are still puddles of water in the yard, currently conditions are safe and conducive.
