Flood in Asahan Regency, North Sumatra Province
➢ Chronology: Triggered by high rainfall on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 18.00 WIB resulting in inundation of residential areas
➢ Location:
● Sei Dadap District
- Sei Dadap III/IV Village
➢ Casualties:
● 30 families / 106 people affected
● 10 families / 35 people evacuated
➢ Material Losses:
● ± 30 houses affected
● 1 education facility affected
➢ Efforts:
● Asahan BPBD conducted a direct review of the field with the Sei Dadap Sub-district Head, Danramil, Polsek and Village Head to evacuate residents' belongings from the flood location to a safe place.
● The Asahan Regency Government through the Asahan BPBD Kab. Asahan distributes basic kitchen needs assistance for affected victims

- Rice @ 10 Kg as many as 10 Hessles
- Sugar @ 1 Kg as many as 10 Packs
- Cooking Oil @ 1 Liter as many as 10 Packs
- Instant Noodles as many as 10 Boxes
- Canned Sardines @ 24 cans as many as 2 Boxes
➢ Current Condition:
● relatively stable, there is a slow shrinkage and it is estimated that it will continue to recede if it does not rain again
● TMA ± 150 cm
➢ Obstacles in the Field:
● Some residents still choose to stay in their homes even though their homes are flooded.
● The drainage channels are not running smoothly.
