Flood in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province
➢ Chronology: Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 18.25 WIB in Hamlet IV, Tuntungan II Village, Pancur Batu District, Hamlet I, Paya Itik Village, Galang District, causing 2 houses to be damaged.
➢ Location:
● Hamparan Perak District
- Hamlet IV and Hamlet VII, Hamlet of Hamlet Perak Village
➢ Casualties:
● 227 families / 856 people affected
- Hamlet IV: 217 families / 816 people (affected), vulnerable groups, as follows: Elderly:
43 people, Children & Toddlers: 48 people, Pregnant Women: 4 people.
- Hamlet VII: 10 families/40 people (affected), vulnerable groups as follows: Elderly: 6 people, Toddlers: 3 people.
● Refugees: 23 families/53 people
➢ Material Losses:
● 23 houses affected
● + 10 Ha, rice field area affected.
➢ Efforts:
● The TRC BPBD Deli Serdang Regency Team went to the flood location to conduct an assessment and data collection.
● Coordinated with the local village and sub-district governments.
➢ Current Conditions:
● The water is getting deeper because the sea water is also at high tide.
