Description
Flood and landslide have affected Central Java Province. The affected district were Grobogan, Purworejo and Cilacap. Kebumen distict was heavily affected by flood and landslide where 5 people killed due to the landslide and 3,548 houses in 183 villages were submerged by flood. Flooding also reported from Pati district on 23 December 2013. As of 27 December, the total casualty numbers caused by the flood are: - 8 death. - (est.) 5,125 houses were submerged. - 2,400 people were evacuated. - more than 9,660 ha of plantation were damaged. RESPONSE - BPBD of each district and provincialconducted evacuation and provided assistance.
