Description
Flashflood hits Antakan, Batang Alai Timur and Batang Alai Utara municipality, Hulu Sungai Tengah district, Province of South Kalimantan. IMPACT - 1 death - 115 houses were heavily damaged - 563 houses were inundated - more than 50 ha of agriculture areas were submerged - 7 schools, religious and government building were affected - 12 bridges and 3 embankments were damaged RESPONSE - The local authority applied emergency period for 1 month and set up 3 emergency posts. - The Provincial Disaster Management Agency distributed food and relief items. - Personnel and equipment were mobilised for emergency operation.
