Indonesia, Flashflood hit Aceh Tenggara, Aceh Timur and Nagan Raya

Flashflood hit Aceh Tenggara District, Province of Aceh. The continuous heavy rain has caused flooding in the upstream of Mount Leuser ecosistem. It brought mud, logs and other material that hit eight villages in Seumadam and Lawe Sigala Gala subdistricts. Based on ther report of the Disaster Management Authority (BPBD) Aceh Tenggara, the incident has caused 2 deaths and damaged 507 houses. A total of 891 families or 3,455 people were directly affected and displaced, which include 530 evacuees. The local authority has set up two evacuation centres for the affected people. They also conducted the damage assessment. Flood also occurred in Aceh Timur and Nagan Raya District. In Aceh Timur, flood affected 39 families/116 people and submerged 38 houses. Meanwhile in Nagan Raya, flood affected 250 families/594 people.
