Description

According to BNPB, flash floods hit South Solok Regency, West Sumatra, Friday (12/13) at 05.00 WIB. Previously the flood carrying mud deposits mixed with rocks and other debris hit the same area on November 20, 2019 ago.
Four sub-districts in South Solok Regency, including Koto Parik Gadang Diateh Subdistrict, Sungai Pagu Subdistrict and Pauh Duo Subdistrict were affected by flash floods caused by high rainfall intensity.
According to preliminary data, around 1000 housing units were flooded with water levels (TMA) around 30-120 centimeters. The flash flood also knocked down one bridge and 6 houses were washed away. While the death toll is still declared zero.
The Solok Selatan District Rapid Reaction Team (TRC) assisted by elements of the TNI / Polri and Tagana are currently still helping the affected victims to evacuate to a higher location. Meanwhile the team is still processing the data collection of the refugees for follow-up efforts
