On Thursday morning (26/10 2017) around 07.00, a flash flood has occurred at Kelumbayan and West Kelumbayan district in Tanggamus Regency, Lampung Province, Indonesia. The worst affected areas are in Pekon (village) Napal, Sinar Harapan and Sinar Maju, thus approximately a total of 1,309 people have been affected. Crisis Center of Indonesian Ministry of Health reported that the flash flood with height reaching 2 meters inundated about 400 houses, 1 medical facility (Posyandu Pekon Napal) and 2 schools (Pekon Napal elementary school and Pekon Penyandingan junior high school). As reported by local media, the flash flood also cut-off one regional road and resulted in the loss of electricity and communication access, which resulted in a delay of emergency response team to reach the affected areas. The team that comprises of Tanggamus regency disaster management agency (BPBD), military and Search and Rescue team were all present in the disaster areas with equipment for live-saving, evacuation and public kitchen.
