Indonesia - Drought in Cilacap Regency,

In order to serve the residents of Cilacap Regency community affected by the drought of Th 2018, BPBD Cilacap has taken Anticipation step. Where the potential areas affected by total drought disaster are 14 subdistricts , 48 villages with 61,933 families and 20,946 inhabitants. At this point, 7 districts have felt the drought effect and request for additional water supply to local government. Attempts made: 1. Coordinate with BMKG to estimate the duration of drought season in Kab.Cilacap. 2.Publish Decision of Regent of Cilacap no.360 / 328/39 Th.2018 on Stipulation of State Status of Emergency Preparedness Drought Disaster in Cilacap Regency. The Disaster Emergency Alert is set within 4 months ( 15 May to 15 August 2018 ). 3. Working with PDAM Tirta Wijaya and PMI to channel clean water aid to the needy villages by using a clean water tank capacity of 5000 liters. 4.Membuat proposal for Ready Use Fund (DSP) to Head of BNPB for expansion program of water supply network connected to PDAM Tirta Wijaya Cilacap.
