Flood Situation Update – Cambodia

As of the morning of 2 October, heavy rainfall and flooding have affected 11 provinces in Cambodia, according to the article which has been verified by National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) Cambodia.
Floodwaters have impacted 46 districts and towns, affecting a total of 35,651 families. More than 27,000 houses have been affected, and over 2,000 families have been evacuated to safe areas.
The floods have inundated more than 16,000 hectares of rice fields, of which 600 hectares werer reported as damaged. The affected provinces are Ratanakkiri, Stung Treng, Kratie, Prey Veng, Kampong Thom, Siem Reap, Mondulkiri, Banteay Meanchey, Tbong Khmum, Oddar Meanchey, and Preah Vihear.
The NCDM has mobilised all available resources to support response operations.
