Description
On March 31 2012, Tropical Storm Pakhar has made landfall on Southern Vietnam affecting several provinces as follow:
Tra Vinh, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Binh Thuan, Long An, Ninh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Phu Yen, Bac Lieu, Khanh Hoa and Ben Tre.
1 death, 9 injured, 418 collapsed houses, 4477 houses partially damaged, 7 schools damaged, 36 ships or boats sunk, 8600 ha rice fields damaged, and 6771 ha crops damaged. Based on number of affected houses, approximately 25,000 people are affected
Vietnam national and local government agency are handling the situation
