First, some new intuitionistic fuzzy information aggregation operators are proposed on the basis of analyzing the inadequacies of the existing operators. Then, the comparative study between the proposed operators and the existing operators are investigated in detail. Furthermore, a decision-making method based on the proposed operators is introduced and applied to the assessment of typhoon disaster in Zhejiang province, China. The research results show that Wenzhou and Hangzhou are two most seriouslyaffectedcitiesbytyphoondisaster.Theresearchresultsdemonstratethatthemethod proposed in this paper for typhoon disaster evaluation is practical and effective.
