Description
NDRRMC was upgraded the alert status for Typhoon Ambo from blue alert to red alert effective 8:00AM on 3 June 2012. As of 5 June 2012 Typhoon Ambo has intensifed, did not made a landfall, and no longer poses any threat to the country.
The low pressure area as an effect from Typhoon Ambo during its course created wind gust up to 170 kph and heavy rainfall in the Southern Luzon and Visayas that may trigger flashflood and landslides
Casualties due to low pressure area effect are:
3 death
7 injured
5 missing
33 people has been rescued by NDRRMC
The affected area includes:
Rizal of Region IVA, Palawan and Romblon of Region IVB, and Camarines Sur and Catanduanes of Region V
